Survey: Should Pharmacists play a bigger role in Primary Care?

The Federal Government would like to see pharmacists play a bigger role in the provision of primary health care services that are currently mostly provided by GPs.

GP groups and the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia have proposed a bigger role for non-dispensing pharmacists in medical practices to provide medication management advice to patients and their GPs, as well as other patient services.

We invited you to weigh in on the debate, and the response was one of the largest we’ve ever had. You can read a summary of the report here, or the full results here.

Do you agree with the outcome? What suggestions do you have for this issue? Let us know in the comments.
